1. Scope
This policy explains how ZAI Institute collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the ZAI Operator Intelligence platform and website.
2. Information we collect
Account information you provide (email address and, optionally, your name) to sign in and manage your membership. Payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers. We also collect limited technical and usage data needed to operate the service.
3. How we use it
To provide and secure the service, authenticate sign-in, deliver the reports you are entitled to, process payments, and communicate with you about your membership. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use a single sign-in session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
5. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted processors to run the service: hosting and database/authentication infrastructure, our payment processor, and email delivery for sign-in links. These providers process data only to deliver the service on our behalf.
6. Research data and de-identification
Our research draws on advisory boards, interviews, and surveys conducted under consent and Chatham House norms. Findings are de-identified before publication — no participant, organization, or source is named. Research participation data is never sold and is used only to produce de-identified intelligence.
7. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your membership is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and security purposes, then delete or anonymize it.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
10. Children
The service is intended for business professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
